Introducing the Quiet-Vent QV-HR150: A Compact Horizontal MVHR Unit
Quiet-Vent has expanded its residential ventilation range with the launch of the new QV-HR150 MVHR unit, a compact mechanical ventilation with heat recovery system designed for homes of up to 130 m².
Combining flexible installation, smart controls and enthalpy heat recovery, the QV-HR150 provides a practical option for residential projects where space and installation flexibility are important.
A Compact Horizontal MVHR Solution
The QV-HR150 has been designed as a horizontal MVHR unit, allowing it to be installed on either the floor or ceiling.
Horizontal MVHR units can be particularly useful where traditional wall-mounted installation space is limited. Ceiling installation can allow the ventilation unit to be positioned within suitable service areas while keeping wall space available for other equipment.
This flexibility makes the QV-HR150 suitable for a range of residential layouts, including projects where a compact MVHR solution is required.
Designed for Homes up to 130 m²
Despite its compact design, the QV-HR150 delivers an airflow rate of 150 m³/h at 100 Pa and is suitable for homes of up to approximately 130 m², subject to the ventilation requirements of the individual property.
The unit uses low-energy EC motors and allows the supply and extract fan speeds to be adjusted independently, helping installers configure the system to suit the required airflow rates.
For projects where help selecting or designing an MVHR system is required, a ventilation design can be requested through Quiet-Vent.
Enthalpy Heat Recovery up to 80%
At the centre of the QV-HR150 is an enthalpy heat exchanger, providing heat recovery efficiency of up to 80%.
Unlike a conventional heat exchanger that primarily transfers heat, an enthalpy exchanger can transfer both heat and moisture between the outgoing and incoming air streams.
This helps recover energy from extracted air while also managing moisture transfer. Under normal operating conditions, the QV-HR150 does not require a condensate drain, which can provide additional flexibility when planning an installation.
Smart Ventilation Controls
The QV-HR150 includes several control features designed to make the system easier to manage and adjust.
Key features include:
- Internal humidity sensor
- 4-inch touchscreen wall controller
- Interactive Wi-Fi control app
- Fully adjustable fan speeds
- Independent supply and extract adjustment
- Automatic and manual timed boost
- 100% summer bypass
The internal humidity sensor can respond to changing moisture levels within the property, while the summer bypass allows air to bypass the heat exchanger when heat recovery is not required.
Quiet Construction for Residential Installations
Noise performance is an important consideration when choosing residential ventilation equipment.
The QV-HR150 uses lightweight, sound-absorbing EPP construction together with a protective metal outer cover. This construction helps create a compact and quiet MVHR solution while providing additional protection for the internal unit.
A New Addition to the Quiet-Vent MVHR Range
With its horizontal design, flexible floor or ceiling mounting, smart controls and enthalpy heat exchanger, the QV-HR150 expands the options available for compact residential MVHR installations.
For merchants and installers looking for a compact horizontal MVHR unit, the QV-HR150 provides airflow performance of up to 150 m³/h at 100 Pa in a flexible residential package.
